Tomorrow Rangers travel to Aberdeen, hoping for a the first win in two years against them that will see us retain our position at the top of the SPL League Table.
This will not be an easy task for Rangers as Pittodrie is a tough place for us to win. After our midweek European disappointment we have to hope that this has galvanised the players into producing their best football and not had the opposite effect of demoralising them.
Bougherra is again back in the Rangers family according to Walter and all is forgiven after his travels with Algeria. Steven Naismith is also pronounced fit after coming off with muscle tightness in his calf during the Kilmarnock game and missing the midweek defeat against Stuttgart. Jerome Rothen will miss selection tomorrow as he has returned home to France for treatment for swine Flu. Our long term injured are still out but good news on the horizon is that Edu trained with the team for the first time so is making his way back to fitness.
Interestingly Allan McGregor Sasa Papac and Nacho Novo are the only players in the current Rangers squad that last took part in a game against Aberdeen where Rangers won. Nacho Novo in fact scoring one of the goals in the 2-1 win.
The Aberdeen team news is that Chris Maguire returns from suspension but they are without Gary Mcdonald after getting a red card against Motherwell. They are also missing Fraser Fyvie, Sone Aluko and Zander Diamond due to injuries. How Mark Mcghee manages in his first game managing Aberdeen against Rangers will be interesting, as the pressure is already on him.
It will also be interesting to see how things go if both Lafferty and Mulgrew are playing tomorrow after last season when Lafferty got him sent off.
Lets hope Rangers come out winners tomorrow and we consolidate on our winning streak.

It was Charlie Mulgrew that got sent off against Rangers last season
not maguire
